Aoyama International Labor Management Office consists of labor and social security attorneys licensed with the only qualification recognized by the national government to act as agents for social insurance and labor insurance procedures. As the first corporation in this field to be approved in the 23 wards of Tokyo, the scale of our operations and the quality of our consulting makes us one of the leading labor management offices in Japan.
Approximately thirty percent of the clientele of Aoyama International Management Office are foreign-affiliated firms; we are the advisors for companies from the U.S., Switzerland, France, Greece, Italy, China, Taiwan, and Korea. We also provide active support for companies from other countries as well.

2. Support for foreign-affiliated companies

(1) Drafting employment regulations in English

Employment regulations contain a large amount of terminology specific to Japanese law. Our company creates employment regulations in English that leave no room for doubt.

 

(2) Participation in meetings

When executives come to Japan from overseas headquarters to discuss personnel and labor, we will participate in meetings and offer our opinions as HR experts.

 

(3) Reports in English

We create business reports, explain complicated Japanese systems, and provide advice as personnel and labor consultants. This can be done on a regular basis or as needed.

 

(4) Dealing directly with headquarters via email

If requested, we are able to deal directly with company headquarters in English via email, without going through the Japanese branch office. Delicate issues such as determination of wages or personnel matters within the Japanese branch can be accommodated.

 

(5) Work visa applications

Visa-related matters are handled for companies employing our advisory services at a special rate approximately at cost.

 

(6) Expatriate services

1999 Established Aoyama International Administrative Scrivener Office.
2003 Reorganized as Aoyama International Labor Management Office (first corporate entity in Tokyo’s 23 wards)

6. Executive profile

Takuya Tamaru
Born in Kyushu in 1964. Upon graduation from Hiroshima University in 1986, he was accepted into the eight graduating class of the Matsushita Institute of Government and Management. This program was established by Panasonic founder Konosuke Matsushita, and his classmates there included former foreign affairs/transport minister Seiji Maehara and former foreign minister Koichiro Genba. He subsequently joined the LTCB Research Institute, a think tank for a government bank, where he worked as a consultant in development studies and HR development. In 1995, he established Aoyama Social Insurance and Labor Consultancy, which was reorganized as the Aoyama International Labor Management Office in 2003.
Recipient of the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency Director-General’s Award. Licensed as a labor and social security attorney, industrial counselor, administrative scrivener, small and medium enterprise management consultant, and real estate appraiser.
